On Sunday, September 15th, Bourbon RVA marked a significant milestone by hosting its inaugural charity event as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. In collaboration with the renowned ZZQ, Bourbon RVA brought together an unforgettable day of bourbon, barbeque, and live entertainment, all for a great cause.
The event, aptly named "Bourbon & Barbeque," featured some of the finest offerings from ZZQ, widely regarded as the best barbeque in Virginia. Attendees enjoyed tastings of select bourbons, complemented by the smoky, rich flavors of authentic Southern barbeque. The event was elevated with live music from talented local artist Matt Waller, while Jay Brown of Grace Street Seven kept the energy high as master of ceremonies.
A highlight of the day was the community’s overwhelming support. Between ticket sales, generous sponsorships, and a successful silent auction, Bourbon RVA raised an impressive $13,400. All profits from the event will go directly to the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU, helping fund critical care and support for children in need.
We couldn't have achieved this without the unwavering support of our sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who attended. Together, we made a meaningful impact, and we look forward to continuing this mission.
With the community's backing, Bourbon RVA has set the stage for future events and collaborations that combine great experiences with purposeful giving.
